Words Cannot Express...

... my gratitude to each and every one of you on this forum for all your help in getting me to the point where I am today. It took some time to get here, but I now have no problems riding on land and I am really looking forward to riding on water this summer. From my start in the sport up until now, I've learned so much from all of you, whether from your help directly or through reading your posts and experiences. My girlfriend likes taking pictures of me while kiting and here are some of the most recent ones after she edited them. I know you'll appreciate them.

I found, in Davenport, IA an open field, for which official use I have not been able to discover. Regardless, it is perfect for kiting. I am usually able to get out 1-2 times a week and on the day that these photos were taken, the winds were a gusty 20-25mph. That is the only reason why I (185lbs) was able to use my 7m Pink Best Bularoo without problems. My buddy wasn't able to come out on that day, but sometime there will hopefully pictures of both of us kiting.

May the winds always blow in your favor,

Keith

nice looks like really mowing the grass!

water will be easy for you, enjoy the ride , you are already use to conditions for water riding and harnessed so stay relaxed , the water is just a little faster far less tedious for sure.

nice spot to poach a ride!

Definitely looks like you're ready for the water.
Tell your girl she's a gr8 photographer, it's hard to take pictures while in motion.
If you'll get a chance to be in the Chicago area, shoot me a mail or so, will be VERY happy to kite with you...so does my friend (which also surf on a land board)....we're always looking for new ppl to join us while having fun....

Cheers

I'm actually from Aurora! I'm hoping to get out on the lake as often as possible and I'm currently trying to meet up with some guys in the Chicago kitesurfing forum too! Where are you located AviN?

I do however wish I could find more people to kite with in the Quad Cities, but I'm only going to be around for another month or so anyway.
