WBB THANK YOU

A big thanks to Rich, Danny, and all of the others who helped to put the bash together this spring. I really liked the safety brochure and the pushed back staging area. The wind cooperated and Saturday was wonderful, and the BBQ and raffle was great.
Also want to thank Sunny and Mike for the bolgogi and for the awesome pictures she took of Andrew.
Big thanks to Buggy danny for letting me take the wheels off his board after i blew two of my own.
thanks to Sofa King for the photos as well
To chris at HQ- really enjoyed and liked flying the montana 7s really sweet kites

WOW- what a great weekend Andrew commented on the way home how good the people were and he had a really good time as well.

Well, here's a cussin joke for everyone!
A 6 year old and a 4 year old are upstairs in their bedroom. 'You know what?'
says the 6 year old. 'I think it's about time we started cussing. The 4
year old nods his head in approval. The 6 year old continues, 'When we go
downstairs for breakfast, I'm gonna say something with hell and you say
something with ass..' The 4 year old agrees with enthusiasm. When the mother
walks into the kitchen and asks the 6 year old what he wants for breakfast,
he replies, 'Aw, hell, Mom , I guess I'll have some Cheerios.' WHACK! He
flies out of his chair, tumbles across the kitchen floor, gets up, and runs
upstairs crying his eyes out, with his mother in hot pursuit, slapping his
rear with every step. His mom locks him in his room and shouts, 'You can stay
there until I let you out!' She then comes back downstairs, looks at the 4
year old and asks with a stern voice, 'And what do YOU want for breakfast,
young man?' I don't know, he blubbers, 'but you can bet your fat ass it won't
be Cheerios!'

Sorry for the threadjack! Glad you all had fun!

I can still feel myself bobbing and weaving thru the dunes , got right to the edge of reckless , that was fun!
Nice variety of beach and wind conditions looked like everyone was flying something.
Thanks Eastcoastkitesports for all you guys do and HQ and Skydog for bringing kites to demo and raffle.
Ditto Scotts comments on the Montana 7 , light bar pressure , quick turns , depowers out to almost no pull , no overfly , sweet kite!

Awesome...Epic...Wonderful....
These are adjectives that can't even describe how the bash was....I drove 8.5 hours and woke up to 3 inches of snow and ice this morning and still looked like the "JOKER" smiling.
Thanks to Rich for all hours spent on the bash...
Thanks to Dan for bailing me out again and loaning me a kite to have fun..(Friday's first park N ride)...Promise to work on my quiver!
and thanks to all the special people that come to the event that make it great.... Had a great time with my two room mates too!

I will be thinking of that kite downturn into a power slide and then a kite loop to get my butt moving fast again for a long time :wee:

Can't wait for the fall and hopefully we will be up and running with Cheezy and Todd too. (missed you guys)

WOW! What to say that hasn't been said? Great time Thursday, nice wind, not thrilling, but nice. Friday better still, but Saturday was a day to behold. Owen did not stop all day, save for the blokart ride and the tandem with Dodd. (He made my wife wash the Skydog shirt the second we got home so he could wear it to school today.) Thanks to everyone who watched out for my kid. He is fiercely independent, so I let him go, knowing that everyone there was keeping an eye out for him. Thank you! Thanks to Con for the Rev lessons, thanks to Paul for the use of the ground screw, thanks to Dave for the entertaining conversations, thanks to Don for being a supporter of our kites, thanks to Danny for the tandem ride for my friends daughter, thanks to Dodd for taking Owen under your wing for a tandem cruise, thanks to Rich for all the time devoted to making the Bash great, and thanks to everyone I came in contact with last week in Wildwood, except for loosing my keys that was the best 4 days I've had in years.:wee:

Definitely a Two-Thumbs up weekend. Ditto on the big thanks to Rich & Danny for everything they do. The bulgogi is always so good! Thank you Sunny.

The safety message is getting through to people (i.e. helmet sighting on Jessie)

And an advanced apology to Scott (flyguy) for the landboarding footage about to be released.

See you at JIBE or in the fall.

Crash We all watched out for Owen all weekend. He is a great kid and was always smiling even when we teased him about his walks of shame!! One of the best thing about kite families is we are families. All the differant groups I belong to are the same way. When Cam and Mackenzie were little I knew they were with people I could trust.
Lets get together this summer and do some flying and riding soon.
Did anyone get a pcture of Jessie with the helmet on? What a sight.

I sighted this as well, had to do a double take!

I hope everyone made it home safely as well, especially those with long drives. I only had about a 30-45 minute drive after the Ferry ride and was so exhausted I was falling asleep. Matter of fact... I'm still exhausted, certainly a sign of a great event!

Had a great time as well. Friday was good at North Wildwood beach, but Saturday was truly epic.

I feel bad for Rich, he pretty much got skunked this bash.

I was very impressed with Andrew, he is a real prodigy.

A big thank you for everyone that makes this event possible. Looking forward to the next one.

If I started naming names, I'd surely forget someone and I'd feel horrible about that.
But, to Rich and crew at ECKS, my appreciation for being the glue behind a fantastic event.
To all of you that I am privelidged to share a beach with and call friends and mentors, you are why these weekends are truly great. Whether it's taking me for a tandem ride, offering help and tips, checking on me when I've been too stubborn to let go (again), sharing a story or beer, or simply keeping my buggy safe at night, you make these events far more memorable more than just a day on the beach.
See you in October (when I can hopefully scrub off some speed)!
Howard
