the winds are 10mph gusting up to 29 probably 20 though
i wave a 1.2 foil and 3.6 both are 2 lines and a 3 line= foil hydra 350

should i go fly or stay in and just play games

Take the GameBoy to the field in case it gets too crazy. Otherwise the 1.2 (Sting?) is a hoot in the upper 20's.

The other kites are going to be less fun and possibly dangerous depending on if the gusts climb and how punchy/sudden the gusts are.

lol always a tough call!

10-30 sounds like nebraska winds! Are they violent and punchy gusts (videogames)
are they semi-gradual increases in wind, that decrease in the same manner (go fly)

i am hesitant to use my 1.2, I'm afraid the wind might rip the bridles right out of the kite

the bridles are not strong enough i think

I wish I had an NPW, Ive heard they are great for this

No experience with the TriBord 1.2. Stay home if you are worried about shredding the kite.

Actually it's generally a good idea to listen to the small voice in the back of your head (the one with wings, not the pitch fork).... saves wear and tear on gear and body parts.

I know that I have flown the Sting 1.2 in winds that threatened to pull your hair out by the roots.

The dual line Sting seems to bleed excess wind off the trailing edge.

Definitely does the hummingbird on meth impersonation though.

Arkay's 1.7 Sting was a hoot in winds like this but stronger !

+1 for listening to the voices. There will always be another day to kite.

I hate to admitt it but I think I would take the little 2 line out and TRY to explode it ! I'm not much for video games but exploding real things is FUN! :duh:

For last 2 weeks I been working long hours EVERY day !!!! .... and sadly my only entertainment is playing Xbox for 1h before going to bed ... trying to have fun with Forza 4 and Dirt 3 .....
.... If I have chance to go to the beach and fly kite at this moment .... I would do it ..... anything from 8mph to 45mph make me happy..... and I know I am not the only crazy one since every time I get to the beach I see same faces ...... fighting with theirs kites in crazy stormy winds or forcing kites to the air when wind are almost to none ....
.... Since I start kiting my Xbox is not in use that much .....
