Went to the beach again last night w/ my ATB,,,, tide was falling winds dead onshore like 12mph.. I put up a 5m scout/bar
Start fooling around and get into the swing of things, toss my board on the hard pack and take off….
Was able to get down wind easily, fumbling some… again…. just like the last 2le of weeks, but that wasn’t gonna do this time.
I concentrated on what wasn’t coming naturally (upwind)..and bang! 1/2hr latter. I roll off like a 200yrd run… I freaked out.
No sweat I head down wind 600yrds turn it around go back up till I’m blocked….Woohooo!!! point her down.. roll off 800 and so on…
So I buckle into a waist harness that up to now really didn’t have a purpose in life. Soon I’m leaning back kite parked kind of high
than parked low…. Little bit of seining, than 1 hand….and kind of actually piloting this foil. All the time running ½ mile to and fro……
Fringing sick!!! I left the beach w/ it looking like a deli counters cutting board……my marks everywhere!!! Sometime there
I switch out to my 4.9 blade/bar …..that just had 18” clipped off the steering lines and had more fun than I can remember.
I had been stating to think that it would never be smart to be tied to that kite….. but all of a sudden that kite was doing exactly what
I was thinking!! I go up and down wind, back and forth, thinking I’m hitting like 15mph, happy, happy like a clam..till the soft sand sneaks up.

11/4 hrs left at work...11/2 hrs drive home...launch by 7pm......can't wait to see if i was dreaming or i really am over
the hump...I got some big goals for tonight.. I dont care that it's raining i will just have to dress for it..... Eddie would go. Damn right i'll be out there. Hope there is no lightning.
