PKF Photographers?
Hey.
As per my recent GoPro thread, i've just bought a GoPro. :wee:
I like taking pictures anyway but will be uploading all kite and non kite related pics and vids to my photostream HERE
Feel free to check my current photos. I have a growing camera addiction. Theres one kiting video of me starting out, and failing to kite skate.
Anyone else on PKF into photography?
Kites - 1.3m HQ Symphony, 2m & 4m Ozone Flow. 2 random stunt kites.
Wheels - Roces Big Cats, unused with kite so far. Board coming soon....
Cameras lots of \'em, for the action!

i have a couple helmet cams that sadly dont get used a lot.... i found i dont like sifting through many hours of footage looking for that one jump

It'd be hard skill to master!
The D90 is a great camera.
I'm doing a bungee jump and some kind of drop down a 150ft tunnel with a fan strapped to my back. I've never seen it done or heard of it until
recently. Anywho, i wanted to have something to record that with aswell as kite stuff. Good point on the memory required and endless hours sifting
through video! I've just started flying kites so there won't be much video action there for a while.

Hey Drew, I wondered why we haven't seen any videos from you, as I thought you got the helmet cams. What I have been doing, though it probably shows
in my videos, is to set up and make a few runs to get the feel for the wind, then film a few, then wait a while before filming more, usually about 20
min to a half hour at a time. Then not so much footage to go through at the end of the day. The trick is to be filming at the right time. Like when
I snagged my 4.8M on that sign, tearing the wing off! Nope, the camera wasn't on for that one.

flyjump told me after i do something "show worthy" to cover the camera for a few seconds, that way i can just fast forward thru the "bland" moments
and catch the good stuff
i forgot them on the Jibe trip, and honestly havent been kiting much... early spring/late winter sucks around here... avg wind right now ins 25
gusting 50mph........
summer will mellow out the winds, and i'll get a few videos up....
got one going up this weekend lol! I finally have a Scorpion thats ready to be eaten.... video tonite or saturday
im going to set up a few cameras to get all the action

Canon t3i and 3 gopros. Don't mind digging through footage. Shooting video is like playing paintball to me. Accuracy by volume.

Good advice from Adam, simple and effective, just look for the blackouts. Thanks Drew, and Adam.

D3000 and gopro on the way. I'm one of those guys who has the camera set to auto most of the time I get bored when I try and learn about the aperture setting and shutter speeds. I use the manual settings when I have
time to hunt and peck for the right setting Link to my kite pics Kite Pics
