The Vipers are fantastic kites. Stable and forgiving enough for a beginner yet powerful and fast enough for an experienced rider. Great to static fly and a dream to fly in a buggy. Great upwind performance, and rock solid power for their size. Their low end will surprise you! At these prices, you can't go wrong!

2 differences between the gen 1 and the S

1. Bridals. Gen 1 have thicker bridals, the S bridals are similar to those you would find on the Reactor II. Not quite as thin I don't think, but a vast improvement over gen 1. Not saying gen 1 bridals are bad, they aren't. The S just has less drag in the bridals.

2. Colors.

The A/R, cut, profile, etc is identical.

5.3m SOLD PENDING.......

What mougl said.....I would say the bridals are in between the RII and the original Viper for thickness.....the color of my 6.8m Viper is pretty close to the new Viper S color with out the dark grey stripe.....

I parapack my kites so I can't roll these out in the living room like I have done with kites that I don't have a line set on. Grass is still wet....had another drenching rain last night......

The Vipers love to be flown low in the window.....awesome buggy engine......these kites just pull fantastic......very stable and good speed......

I will probably regret this.....again.....but got to make some room......

Twisters come in 3m, 4.1m, 5.6m, and 7.7m did you mean 5.6? Twister is a completely different kite from a Viper. What do you do with your kites? Static, jump, buggy, board? The Viper makes an excellent buggy engine as well as a great static flyer. I have never tried it on the ATB but due to its low lift tendencies, I would not call it a jumper at all. The 6.8 will generate useable power for me (210 lbs) in a buggy on grass in around 6-8 mph winds. I've had a Twister II 5.6m and as far as pull goes, the Viper 6.8 has a bit more IMHO.

I buggy on grass & beach(soft sand)

Your right 5.6.Just seeing if I'd be better with this Viper instead of my twister.

I was bugging today in 20 mph with my 4m Pepper on grass.Had my first really good session without loosing ground, even gaining. :wee:

I'm still learning. :puzzled:

I like the Viper far more than my old twister in the buggy. The viper has much better upwind performance in my experience. I also like low lift in the buggy :) the low end on the viper exceeds the low end on the twister so you can buggy in lower wind. Again, this is all just my experience, others may say different.

Twisters are for jumping, Vipers are buggy machines

crazymanme2. The surface you fly on presents a problem for the Vipers , when presented with a bit of a load to pull they tend to fly forward in the window and lose the pull you need to get thru the grass or soft sand (same with snow). I correct this by sining the kite(flying it quckly up and down so it stays deaper in the power zone an generates more pull). This will get the job done especialy in stronger winds but is more work and is best when harnessed to the kite. On a hard surface Vipers are 100% the way to go for the level your at.
