New closed cell offering on the market.....

See pic link here

Kiteboyza popped up a pic of something that looked awfully closed cell to me but didn't offer much of a report. I put this thread up in hopes he dishes the dirt on the kite. Dying to hear.....

There is a previous thread by Kiteboyza about this proto. I am short on time but just search his posts.

It is a closed cell FB.

I am interested in seeing how larger ones will work as low wind engines.

Simple design, two inlets up front(leading edge) The one I am working on is a 3.7m. Stake it out and give it a tug and youre off. Takes one turn to inflate fully and then handles very nice. Love brake input in the turns. You can send it out past the edge of the window and no collapse. This is a kite for inland flyers for sure. Morrie had a few runs with it, downwind was good and upwind performance was very very good.

Is this the Pansh Adam "lobster" kite?
Ridiculously low prices for smaller ones on their site.
Sounds more like a water-training kite than an inland one.

But it's not as wild looking as this particular custom "First" racer model!

D - What do you know about the custom colour options? The idea of a closed cell fixed bridle has me intrigued. And yeah - the way the sales pitch is written it sounds like they are selling it for the water.

I like that.:thumbup: :thumbup::thumbup:
My closed cell KiteSurfers are great for inland conditions but the XXL is prone to tip collapse at the edge of the window, then the tips get caught in the bridle.

What wind range have you used the Adam 3.5 in? My XM is about the same size but needs 20-35 mph winds

Has anyone done any body dragging with this kite yet?

How about snow/ice skiing or snowboarding?

I was only able to find a vid of a static flight so far.

Anyone toss one of these on a turbo bar?

These look like a good option for dirty wind areas.

I had the chance to fly this and it was a very simple easy to fly kite.
Impossible to fly out of the widow, excellent for beginners as well as those that are more experienced and enjoy a simple fold proof kite.
We could actually run at the kite trying to collapse it and it wouldn't go down.
It was a blast!

I picked one up and took it out for a maiden [static] flight last week. I had to tweak the brakes a little and then it flew like a charm. Interestingly the fat/ trapped inflation made reverse launches rather tricky :puzzled:

I then loaned it to a new guy that I had just met a couple of weeks ago who had been flying only single lines and he was flying beautiful figure 8's in 10 -15 minutes and I had to pry the handles out of his hands when I had to leave for the night :singing:

@Bigbear......You were logged into the Pansh site one day and saw your discount because you have purchased from them before......the next day you looked you were not logged into the Pansh website and saw retail pricing again.......Pansh gives you a discount based on how much business you have done with them in the past.......
