best to let go with both hands. 9 times out of 10 if you let go with one hand the kite will go into a death spin .. which will create a large amount
of power and you will have no control of the kite at that point.

would it work if i run a slack line from the centre of the kite and put it on the wrist ?

If you decide to add a line, do it from the trailing edge and not the center. This will help the kite to "flag" instead of the aforementioned "death
spin".
