Speed Record on a Land Board?
Now...I got to thinking...and looking around on the net...
Is there any recorded speeds on a land board?
Not like I'm looking to break any records...but was curious if it's officially "tracked".

Records aren't tracked as zealously or "officially" as with buggies, but this thread will give of some of the speeds people are clocking at the far
end of the spectrum:
ATB speed record?

WHAT IN THE *^&%$@ ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? HUMBLED.
You said you have never gone faster than you did last weekend at SOBB, you were screaming down the beach. You were just cruzin when you passed me in
the bug. I was pushin as hard as I could. You most defiantly have the board that is more than capable of those speeds and more if you got the right
stuff.
Are we going to have to change your name to "I don't think so Herb"?
I will be more than happy to be there when you do it, If you need any parts, mods, adjustments, help, encouragement, a story to tell the wife, you
name it, I will be happy to do what ever to get you to 100kph.
I may have to eat a few more on a good day and try it myself...............hope the wife isn't checking up on me, and none of you guy heard me say
this either.:o

Having been 63 mph in the buggy, I can attest that there is NO way I would ride a landboard that fast. I've been on skateboards, wakeboards, slalom
waterski, snow skis and snowboards and that is way past what I could let myself do. Yet, I'm not at my limit in the buggy yet. Went to sleep last
night thinking about my next incremental speed run.

It looks like they took it down, but for a while there was a video on YouTube of someone going 45 mph on a lakebed and eating it.
No pads, no helmet.... expletives were available in great abundance though. Luckily he walking away from it with only damage to his pride.

I could never in a million years go that fast with out the aid of some stuff.
I put a disc brake on my blokart. went down to the local bike shop and the wife saw me fork out $100.00 for part and asked what toys Im buying now and
I told her it was brakes for the blokart, and she gave me a hug and bought me dinner. if I would have only known, hahahaha

BigKid Cracks me up!
OMG...my eyes are watering laughing at your reply Jeff!!!
I didn't see this until I got back from riding today.
Wonder what the wife will say when she see's the bill for the motocross armor and full-faced helmet (kidding)...
"But honey, at least I gave up paragliding lessons...(long pause)....."
BUT seriously...it was fun working to stay ahead of the buggies last weekend....:wee:
Maybe I was going faster than I thought? :puzzled:
Let me wait until my life insurance premimum bumps up here in a couple months...then I'll let full mid-life crisis mode kick in. :P
Meanwhile....let the "tuning" begin!!
What a SWEET board this Flexboardz Haize is....

never heard of any record of speed, the instability! is(or was) a limiting factor.
but super tight set ups will run 50. and its a sprint! certainly not sustained.
flexboardz HAIZE ...all you can stand!
the practicality of running hi speeds on a board just adds serious injury to the landboard use and EXTREME caution advised. now that flexboardz has
come into action, u truly have the access to hi speed cruising.
sustained hi speeds would require, heavier, highly precision balance wheels, maybe even an alloy hubs. powrsliding at 60 is not when you want to
find out if the tire/hub set up remains together. helmet AND neck roll required !
just getting on a landboard in over 30knts is gut check everytime
