Does anyone have any advice on an easy way to add weight to my Libre Hardcore? If someone has a weight set they want to sell I am interested. I am hoping to spend less than $100. I was thinking of Putting some lead shot in bags into the seat area but I think it would be best to have the weight out by the wheels much like the KBSS weight set.

have you considered using the old belt weights that divers used to use, could probably find them cheap since most have moved to the vest still weights

Yes, I dive and have some weights around, the problem is how to affix it to the buggy frame so it does not rattle around and can be removed easily. I thought about some type of C clamps to mount weights to the rear axle and down tube but am not sure on the best way to do that. I am hoping for some advice.

It looks like the fork weights have a plate welded to them for attaching them to the footrest/front axle plate and the rear weights are welded to a two part clamp for attaching to the axle.

What type or tools/fabrication equipment do you have access to?

Weights for the back can be made from 4inch plastic pipe. Cut to desired length , use plastic screw in/on caps. Fill with dirt/sand/rocks and water, then bungy to axle or across rails. When done empty and pack a light weight setup home.

I just have some basic tools like an electric drill, radial saw and hand tools. Not much of a shop for me to fabricate with. Screwing and bolting things together works best. Jon, I like your idea about the rear weight, I will have to give that a try.

If I put too much weight on the rear axle without balancing it on the front, what will be the outcome in terms of traction and stability?
