Go bigger or smaller next?

So I'm torn between getting a 15m charger or phantom II

Or a 6m gin yeti or a ozone access.

The average winds here are about 8 knots, but there are frequent 15-25+knot days.

I thought I would wait to try water, but getting to know an arc first on land seems like a good idea.

I thought the Scout would make a decent reserve, but another depower would be nicer, dontcha think?

So what do you think I should cover first, light or heavier wind?

Well, if you are coming to Boston / Cape Cod, I know of a guy who can get you a great deal on a Yeti ;-) but if your average winds are low you should go with a bigger kite. Depending upon your weight, I'd think the 9.5 would cover you from about 8 - 20knots, no?

M6 is great 10-20knots, but it would act like an anchor if it ever hit the water, wouldn't it.

There's a lot of water to ride around MV.

Skyhigh would take you there.

4 sessions for $700 (includes gear and boat support)

But they didn't answer a mail about traction spots on the island, so maybe I look for another school. Or just buy a kite, my brother has some kiting friends he says would take me out. Still should probably fork it over for the lesson though.

the 15 ch is gonna cover that easy or P2, as well, charger maybe a fraction quicker and do water a little better because that fact. the P2 with a bit more air will do the same. under 180# either one plenty of power and boost . if i where lighter the p2 15m would be choice.

I didn't notice that your goal was to get on the water. If that's the case you don't want the Yeti or the Access.

Are you going to MV or just the Cape? I wouldn't take a special trip out to MV just to kite. There are schools in Dennis and Welfleet that will take you out in the Bay where the water is warm and shallow.

or if you are going to be around Nahant for a while you can take a lesson from Adam at http://www.bostonkiteschool.com/contact/
