Not sure of anyone in the new orleans area that buggys and where would be a good place to go around there. I am in the Lafayette area and in the past a good day trip would be to drive down to Grand Isle and buggy there. I hear that the beach is very wide now. It might be worth a trip down.

WoW, Have you been there before?

Thanks for the info. It's probably a good hike to Grand Is. from Slidell but I'll take a serious look see.

Who da thunk it? Grand Is., could be a diamond in the rough. I might just have to make a side trip. If it's good I just might move back to LA.

If so, where did you go down there? Last time I was there fishing I had to stop at "Jean LaFeits" pirate store. Bet we lost it because of Katrina. Hope he rebuilt.

Tell me what you know please. How's the flyin in the Lafayette area. By the looks of your quiver it must be out standing!

I have been doing a "earth map" thing to check out possible beaches to buggy.

I found Holly beach. Is that close?

I followed the beach across the hwy.82 and it looks like you could do a loooong run all the way to Peveto Beach. If the wind was right.................... would be a hoot, let's give it a go.

Ever been to either of these places?

I have been to holly beach and grand isle many times. Grand isle would be closer to you. I talked with a friend of mine that has a camp there and he told be the beach is wider then he has seen in a long time. You should be able to buggy the hole island. I drove over to holly beach for a day trip the end of May. The beach was great there also. Right now holding off going to any beach to stay out of the heat and most of the summer low wind. Beach trips are not worth it for me right now. We buggy in a large parking lot in Lafayette that is why I have lots of nasa wings for the gusty inland winds.
