If you haven't owned a traction kite I'd recommend the beamer over a 7m until you figure out how to fly it in all kinds of wind conditions. You can
get pretty messed up learning by yourself with even a 3.6m, with a 7m you'll REALLY feel it. There were times this past winter with my 4m that I got
dragged, cut up and what not relearning.
I'm sure someone else will chime in, but I'll try to answer your question about wind.. typically larger (foil) kites are used for lower wind
conditions to grab more wind to create more traction. You can fly some of the smaller foils in low wind conditions, but you have to work it more.

CODE is right,
If your new to this DONT fly a big kite in high winds you wont like the outcome.... been there done that ,
low winds = big kite
high winds= small kite
The hq beamer kites in my opinion are great kites to start out with, I have a 5.0 meter beamer and I use it the most, in moderate winds on my buggy,
but at times it can be hard to controll when the winds are blowing, I have been reminded of this several times, THINGS CAN GO BAD REAL FAST if you
loose controll of the kite.......
Remember you can always let go of the kite, it will do less damage than you being drug down the dirt or pavement :o:o
where are you from??

Thanks,
Im from Ireland. Ive only talked to one person about all this stuff before so i was glad to find this forum!! Hmmmm, now im thinking about a HQ
Beamer 5.5 or the HQ Crossfire 7.7, any thoughts.
I may as well ask this here too (i asked it in the buggy section already but people in here might have a different oppinion). I cant decide which to
get, a Buggy or Mountain Board. I will be using it on beaches and flat short grass. I think the buggy would seem faster but i also like the idea of
being able to jump around on teh board. What do people think?

BANANA_MAN-
Go with the Beamer 5.0m to start its a good kite for low to moderate winds the 7.7 might be a little big to start out with,
also I would say get a buggy... easyer to learn on and alot more forgiving than a board, although both are fun , you can always get both....
If your going to be running on beaches and grass your probobly going to want to get a big foot wheel type buggy, the bigfoot tires dont sink down as
easy as the smaller tire buggys, peter lynn makes a big foot buggy its pretty decent for the price....
hope this helps....
