I can't believe I never flew it either. I bought it right about the time I was getting real interested in depower kites, so the fixed bridles just
began to sit. A day will come in the future when I will eventually get a buggy and I will probably kick myself for selling this one (especially since
Peter Lynn has decided to discontinue this model). Some unplanned financial situations have kind of landed close to home and are forcing me to part
with some of the toys. Thanks for recognizing this as a good deal.

I've said it time and time again, the Viper is an amazing kite. Docile enough for someone to use as a first buggy engine yet fast and powerful enough
for the experienced pilot. My vipers will never leave my quiver. Excellent kite! Great price too!

Sale pending....
@mougl: A Viper 2.6m was my first kite. I am keeping that one and the 3.9m. The 6.8m left for another home last week. Maybe one of the larger sizes
will find their way back to me in the future as g00f suggested. I already miss them.
@g00fba11: yes, it's true... this one wasn't even flown on grass, so had zero chance of experiencing that "natural high" you talked about yesterday in
another thread. Thanks for the support!

Maybe some of the more experienced kiters on here can answer this one??? Since I haven't owned a Scout before, I am not familiar with the bar in
detail. The original Scout was a 4-line system I believe, while the Scout II is considered a 3-line system, but not sure if that affects the answer
you are looking for or not. It looks like from your sig you have one of the original Scouts, so it seems like the 4-line bar should be able to work on
the Viper, but I don't want to tell you the wrong thing.
Can someone familiar with the Scout's bar answer this question for hickupper so that he gets the right info?

FBs fly best on handles as you can put a bit more brake input when flying, but then again "different strokes for different blokes"
What may work for you may not work for me, so give it a go in safe winds.
If your scout is a 4 line, take the bar off and fly it on handles I think you will be impressed with its performance.
Experience is something you get, just after you need it!

They will turn on a bar but to get the full fun factor out of them you need to be able to tap the brakes and handles are best way to be able to do
that.
2.6 , 3.9 , 5.3 , 6.8 PL Vipers
5 , 7.5 HQ Apex II
14m HQ Montana VII
5m naish element
7m ss turbo diesel
10m pansh blaze
5m beamer dearly departed into a tree
3 "snowspider" homebuilt kite sleds
3 homebuilt buggies
1 skate board with seat on wheels or blades (the c0ckroach)

I agree totally to what's being said about bars vs. handles. When given a choice, I always prefer handles over a bar on fixed bridles. Probably
because that's how I learned and I like the extra control possible with quad handles. But I would just like to help hickupper have his specific
question answered which was whether or not the Scout bar "could" be used on the Viper (and not, "should" the bar be used on the Viper). Any Scout
owners out there that could answer this one?

@hickupper: Received your answer from a good friend who knows about the Scout's bar. Here's what he told me:
"The Scout's bar has gone through some transitions. The early version of the Scout used the HQ X-over control bar which would fly the Viper. The
later version of the Scout or Scout 2 moved the pulleys up to the kite bridle and changed up the bar. I don't know if a Scout 2 bar would fly a
Viper."
Hope that helps.
