Biggest air ever (30m wing) video

had my first paragliding instruction last week and all I can say is WOW. Had six tows and the last one (not on video, my videographer, wife, left) but it was about 175 ft before I disconnected. The last one in the video is bout 125 ft It was an awesome feeling but would say that kiting experience was not really helpful but did find my whitewater kayaking to be a very comparable activity since a Lot of the turning of the wing is weight shift with your hips like paddling. Needless to say I am pretty sure I will be continuing to get my p2 license.

Ok, now I saw it, I just subscribed to your youtube page and watched it that way. Cool deal for sure, I could see you were having fun when you started kicking your feet together when way up there as to say, whoo, hooo!

Can't wait to see some more training video!

That was my scissor kick to let him know I was getting ready to release from the tow line
Scott
I would really recommend to anyone to try it even if you don't pursue the sport. I felt really safe the whole day was no wind so really super calm and almost soothing on my last flight was able to make a 360 and really look around was incredible

@b-roc. No question having that much wing made it a lot softer

On a serious note have a question, as some of you may know I run a family wealth management office- if you were considering a person/team to take care of your financial affairs, money management, estate planning, tax planning and such. Would you have issues hiring a person who paraglides, realizing that most of my clients already think my kiting is crazy and dangerous. Input or thoughts appreciated
Scott

I wouldn't as long as my records were safe and you had support staff but I imagine your insurance agent will. Forget why I told mine that I kite for a hobby - she considered that somewhat high risk and may have adjusted my policy accordingly.

Actually, driving along Interstate 81 here in Virginia is probably much more dangerous statistically than paragliding.

Now THAT's some float! That really looked fun. I guess the slightest of breeze and you'd have had your own lift. That would be fun to try someday. My wife says I have to grow up before I can have a midlife crisis. I'm not sure which way to go with that one. Lol. Way to go Scott!

I went on a tandem with Discover Paragliding in Oregon, until then I had thought nothing could be more addictive than the kite buggy.
But the higher the high the more it costs:wee:.

To make it easy to watch.
