Anybody try Great Lakes Buggy riding?
Anybody from this forum ever try riding along the shores of Lake Michigan or any of the great lakes shoreline? It's a bloody shame that we don't have
tides or I could have some superb buggy riding. Just wondering if it would even work with all the loose sand and narrow beaches we get around the big
pond. My Bug isn't quite done yet so I have to settle on curiosity for now.

A lot of my videos are taken at Southwick Beach State Park, on Lake Ontario, in upstate NY. It is a sweet section of natural sand beach/dunes, on the
eastern end of the lake. With a west wind, you can get a nice ride!

I think snowspider got to go there this evening!

Thanks babalooie, that gives me some hope other than athletic fields. Point Beach State park (1 hour away from me) states they have 6 miles of sandy
natural shoreline but I have never been there before. I'll have to make a visit this weekend to see what potential there is.

WOW! I googled that spot, looks great for an East wind! And the ride through the forest looks great, too! :bigok: From my house to Southwick is
about 45-50 min. (if I don't speed too bad :duh: )

Hi Rob,
Most of my video, has been done on Montrose beach in Chicago area.
One important note about this place: it is EXTREMELY sensitive area for kiting ! meaning it's only allowed to kite there when it's off season or low
on beach goers. It's a stretch of around 600ft, not the longest, but wide area (send wise) to try new tricks and lots of fun.
U2U me if/when you want to try this place, I'll be more then happy to meet you there (kinda lonely here as I'm the only guy w/buggy ).

BTW - best wind will be E / NE and you can get some with SE as well :-)

Thanks Avin for the invite! If I ever plan to visit the area in "off season" I'll def let you know. I could handle a weekend in the "Windy City"
sometime. Went to check out Point Beach area today and found some really good shoreline that will work for bugging. Only catch is that it will
require an east wind to work well or it's a bust. Talked to a local while the wife and I were static flying on the beach and he said that the
majority of their winds are not east, so that is kind of a bummer. Why can't I live on the other side of the lake:dunno:
