My SOBB Trifecta!
1st off , thanks a TON to the whole Oregon crew ! You guys are the best hosts possible !
I think this was my 6th SOBB with one year missed a couple of years ago. You can never replace that 1st time feeling but this was definately one of
the most enjoyable times I have ever had!Nice warm dry weather and wind every day .
With such nice weather I spent all day. All 4 days on the beach. For this I was rewarded with my kind of trifecta. A trip that I can ride board one
full day, Blades another and buggy on the final day! :wee:
This combination has never come together for me before ! For one reason and another it just hasn't but it has been a desire for a long while. For this
and a few other things, this is a SOBB I won't soon forget !
Always a pleasure riding with you Folks but this time it was ALL OF THAT !
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.

It was awesome having all 3 Kens this year. I truly believe that all 3 of ya should change your names to Kid 1, 2 and 3 though. Your "Kid" like
enjoyment was infectious and was all a part of making this past weekend such a great time for all.
p.s. And I got to wipe out 2 of em at once... :D

Well Ken, I am glad my sacrifice paid off. I had to sacrifice my time and attention toward school and thus, there was great wind for you. Glad you

Bigup the big man Konrad for his cooking skills, Eli the helper for setting up camp, Phil for providing the camp. Oh and Morrie the spaghetti king!
Without these two guys we would live on beer. Thanks to John Ellis for his bbq on Sunday and thanks to everyone else that makes the 4000km round trip
worth every minute. Nice to meet new faces and to see old faces.
Did I mention Mayor Jimmy for letting us use his section of beach!
See you in May2013

Big thanks to the crew for a great time... again.
3 days on the beach - with mostly onshore wind
Don't know how many miles I rode but I was worn out each day.
10 minutes at the border coming home made up for the almost hour I waited going south. The only slow part of my drive home on the Monday was around
Lacey... Blew through Seattle without even slowing down!
Spring SOBB can't come fast enough!

Well I hate to say it, as I put the buggy on the back of the truck the rain has started to fall and as I look around I see nothing but water and
blowing sand.
Looks like SOBB 2012 has come to an end. Thanks to everyone from North to South, East to the beach. It was wet foggy windy hot cold early late crowded
empty and a blast. Ready to do it again next spring._

To see Ken play like a child on the beach with his blades as the sun was starting to dip low is something I will probably never forget.
Congratulations on your Trifecta!
I enjoyed it almost as much as you!

Thanks again everybody !
Yes , I think all 3 Ken's are stuck someplace around 12 years old. You folks only amplify our playfull spirit with your own !
I have said it before but I am extremely thankful for having friends who allow me to choose my own path in the wind. I want to enjoy blades and board
as long as my body will allow. Still I enjoy the heck out of every day I get out on the buggy!
It's ALL GOOD!!!!!! :Ange09:
P.S. I want details on how the rest of the event played out + VIDEO !!!!!!

For some reason I didnt even think of taking any pics and vids during the whole event.:puzzled:
But I did see a short version of one by csa_deadon that was to die for.:o Glad you were OK Sean.
I would like to see some vids also.
I would say the event started out with some great weather and people, and the weather, slowly and at times very quickly, went down hill. The people
though did not. The last run of the event was with a 1.5m Buster Soulfly, finally got the new bug tuned and ready to fly, to bad the rain was
beginning to fall.
I cant speak for anyone but me, but there is a limit to how much Salmon and Oysters you can eat, :megan: Was worth the time and the effort. Was way to
generous of a few people for all the stuff given and the place where buggy camp was. My hats off to you guys for a great time, and more than enough
food to enjoy. Was it me or was the table more than 3/4 covered by bottles of some type of liquid?
I am still finding sand behind my ears, need to take another bath

Wow...What can I say.
A big Thanks to all the Oregon crew who made feel like I was at home!
I had 4 days of fantastic buggying with fantastic friends.
I awoke every morning at about 6:00 am...headed to town for breakfast...got lunch...got coffee, and headed
to the beach and waited for wind which usually showed up around 11:00am
As usual...I was first on and last off every day I was there.
The wind was great and came out of the NW which made for a lot of taching.
On the 4th day, I discovered how easy it was to run the side of the dunes so I carved a path around the backside
of beach camp and made a great run out to the shoreline hitting 29.7 mph before I had to turn.(talk about a great power slide)
A video is in the works and yes...I have a little footage of when Dirtslide and myself were struck by Sunny Jims kite.
Thanks again for making this my most favored event.
See you all at the Spring SOBB 2013
