I got the chance to fly one of Ted Dougherty’s Pro Foils a few weeks back and I figured I should at least write a quick review.
I flew the 5.5m and I was impressed. The build quality was very good and it produced constant power and lift.
The kite came to "life" after 15mph. I flew it back to back with my Mac Para Bego 400. The Bego was stronger and more violent in the same winds.
However, the Pro Foil was more stable at the edge of the window and it didn’t luff as much in my crappy inland winds.
I used my Flexi lines and handles, so I can not really comment on the ones supplied with the kite.
So…if you are looking for a kite that wont bust the budget, a Pro Foil may fit your needs nicely.
