I don't understand women
... especially my wife :D
I was being a weasel and trying to not remind her that I want to buy a new car and trying not to sound like I was justifying it... but she interrupted
was all like "Oh heck yeah - 4 years is a long time to keep a car and it's definitely time to change it"... and I was like :o
It was her who suggested the last holiday be a kiting trip, I take my gear back to NZ in January and I buy a new board to replace the Flydoor...
... then when I say "Are we going out for lunch today?" she's all "What?! We're poor at the moment!"

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

When I was in college, I received an anonymous gift. It was a book titled, "Everything Men Know About Women." On the back on the book was a long list
of accolades by various professionals extolling the virtues of the masscript.
When I opened the book to read it, EVERY SINGLE PAGE was completely blank.
I've never seen a truer book since.

I have been working at listening to my wife for over 40 years. in the last in the last 2 years that I have finally got a clue. It's not what she
says, it's how she says it. I have learned to talk to my wife rather than tell my wife, made a big difference.
She told me today after I TALKED about going to Alvord next month, Thanks for letting me know before you decide to go.

My wife refuses to listen if she thinks I am talking about something she won't approve of (usually spending money). She doesn't even try to
understand what I am saying, just gets her rebuttal in first. It is as though just listening to me talk about something is considered approval.

BK I guess it comes with age. My wife and I discuss everything openly and come to great results. Lately with all the health issues I have been having
this is a great way to be. No stress or anger. Just doing what needs to be done.

It must come with age. When I mention that I would like to do something or drooling over a new toy, she asks
when am I going and when I'll be back or I can't wait to see it. This is to easy. I may doing something right!
