Any kite can kill someone in the right conditions. Being "new to kiting in a way" a 15 m WILL hurt or kill you!

WAY too big in my opinion for your skills and needs. Don't know your wind conditions or skill level but your previous cracked Collar Bone should be evidence enought to look for something smaller- build your skills and move up in size as your skills improve. You skills shouldn't be chasing your kite size.

lol very true i never think like that though he also has a north kite boarding bar with it if that tips the scales at all
what kite would you recommend i think the 5m would be fine if the brakes did what there supposed to do
i got a board with the package and thats where the cracked coller came from but learnt my lesson tall cant be nimble hense the sit down buggy approach is needed

I have never seen the Exit power kite, so I googled it and found a short youtube video of a guy flying the 6M Exit Pro at a beach. It looked like he had pretty good power, but also had brake control. I would start by figuring out why your brakes aren't working on your 5M. Are the brake lines too long? Check by staking all 4 lines down together, and pull them out to make sure all 4 are equal in length. Adding a couple of knots on the brake leaders on the handles(equal distance from the handle on both left and right handle) will allow fine adjustment in different winds. Without brakes you have no control, without control, it's hard to learn safely. I also googled the JN DaVinci, and found a review of the 12M on kiteforum. It seems like a smooth and powerful kite, but maybe too high performance for a beginner. Do you really need 15M for the buggy? It sounds like you might have been over powered with the 5M.

The Benny Hill music was perfect. You guys need to look into what Bobby said. And then check out some videos of others flying. Your brake lines are set to long for sure. Are there adjusters on the bridle or handles?
Good luck and stick with the smaller kite till you have it figured out.

Avoid the 15m

Flying power kites isn't as simple as flying a kite ! You need to get to grips with the wind window + how the kite you have is supposed to work in it. Adjust the brakes. Id it backs down they are too short. Spins they are uneven.

Breaking bones while learning on 5m kites is a real common story. Yet people go that route again and again.

You want to trade DOWN in size until you have control of the kite !

Great move running purchases through this crowd. The will always have advice.

you need to get what you have in proper order...than learn to dominate it... you dont need a 15m kite yet, if ever w/ what you are looking to do....right now your on your way to a respectable quiver...try to cover all the conditions you may find yourself in. the 15m would not allow you to be out much.......but if you do it, get some film.

i must be honest the brakes do kinda droop down i will have a look at them theres no adjusters on the handles and the 2m i have only has 2 lines so no brakes the reason i brought the 5m is tipicle male stupidity mixed with a hint of cheapness stupid for thinking its only a bit of fabric and cheap for thinking i wont have to upgrade at a later stage there must of been something dodgey about the 15m anyway cus since i told him i want a go before a swap hes kinda ignoring me so no more clips for the forseable future im afraid ill get youtubing straight away but if any one knows of any must see or instruction clips on a different site do please let me in on them

I really think you're on the right track! Keep it up! I second others comments that the 15m is too big for now. I would say it took me 4 years of being serious about kiting before I was ready for a 15m!

Be safe! I can't recommend a helmet and body armor enough!

the first kite I bought was an old 7m C kite....fortunately I met someone who forbad me from flying it.... I then went the 2 line trainer route and started buying foils incrementally up from 2m once I knew what I was doing.... I now can cover winds up to full blown gales and have the skills to fly that C kite when conditions are proper for it... best part is no hospital stay!!.......behind the scene is as much repetitive Utube vids playing till my wife threw up... I to owe a proper thanks to coastwindsport tutorials as well.....be a pilot first.. a good one... and then move on to bugs or whatever
