My First WBB
Room is booked and looks like I will be there Saturday and Sunday. I am only staying one night but there is chance I might be able to swing Friday
also. Looking forward to meeting everybody and riding the beaches of Wildwood . Hopefully I will be able to get out a few more times on the buggy
before then so I do not look like such a noob.

cyclesteel,
Don't let cheezy scare you. I hear that the skirt is one-size-fits-all.
This is only me second WBB with a buggy - after hanging around so many people that are into the sport, I had to get one. Now it's an obsession (but
I'm still no good).
If you ask me, you need to be there on Friday too. Any time you can spend there with so many great riders/pilots is worth the drive.
See you there!
Go ahead... tell me to "go fly a kite!" Please!

Yeah boy !!! That's what I want to hear Donnie !!! Hey my trip is in jeapordy also, I just filed for UE bennys last week. Got to see what kind of
financial shape I'm in by then. Wifey has already given me the speech about spending any money for kiting. I simply explained that these are my
brothers and I have to buggy all the way there I will. I'll just have to find some floor space to crash on.... Ok, Who doesn't snore and fart all
nite...?

Cyclesteel,
I remember posting this same thing last fall.....My first buggy bash....My first time riding/flying with others.... A little intimidating but..
When I got there these are a few things that happened...
I was greeted by a bunch of members who all introduced themselves and made me feel welcome.
I was invited to a dinner that night
I didn't have everything that I needed and was loaned some kites....got to try a few buggies too....BTY this will ruin you as you soon figure out you
have to have a bigger and better buggy.....(Rich) and a lot more kites (Dan)
I met a great guy who was crazy like me...(Scott)
Had the time of my life as this was the first time being able to just cruise down a beach not to mention being able to park and ride.
You will not regret anything except the last day when you have to leave.....Then from there the countdown will continue for the next event in the
spring.
Best part is you will meet a lot of people that you start talking to on the fourm and asking for help/questions...
It's just a GREAT sport that you will be able to continue to do well into the future.
:wee:
Less then 30 days to go......Can't wait! :singing: :singing: :singing:

After Reading through my thread, watching all the videos and reading all the other WBB threads and getting really excited for the buggy bash. I am
now supper bummed because I just canceled my reservation and will not be able to make the WBB . Our house has been on the market since June and I figured we would never sell it. Well we are signing the contract today and there
settlement date Nov 2 so instead of blasting down the beach on wind powered vehicles with awesome people I will be loading up boxes and furniture
Fun!. It is a good thing but I was really looking forward to wearing the pink skirt. I guess I will have to wait for the Spring Buggy Bash.

That is a bummer.
Congratulations on selling your house, though. Are you still going to be in the Philly area?

Congrats on selling the house! Shame you will miss the bash, but you won't have to wait till spring to take a ride on the sands of WW. Some of us get
together and still go a couple more times before it gets unbearably cold out. I will make sure I contact you before we go ahead of time so you can
make the trip!

Hey Josh we are only moving a few miles away from my current location. Going from a town home to a single family home . We need to look at a few
houses again so it is pretty much crunch time the next 4 weeks.
Rich that is great news. Definitely let me know when you guys go back to Wildwood I am in.
There is always a chance I might be able to come down for the day. I am getting a POD or U-Box on the 19th if I can get ahead on packing it up I
might just come down for the day. We shall see

I cant wait to go to my very first power kite event. Ive been to multiple kite festivals (Niagra, Smithsonian at least 4 times, Sunfest, Rogallo, demo
days at khk) that had some power kiting but none where it was the main focus. I have been wanting to go to wbb for atleast 2.5 years, but was never
able to because of school. I also cant wait to meet other people who are as passionate about the sport as much as I am. I have only met a few people
in the land kiting side of power kiting (radgen, silvereaglekiter, maybe lad not sure if it was him, and a couple of others but I forget their names)
I hope to try out some kotes and buggies that I have always wanted to get but never able to afford(not yet anyways).
bigfoots
full size buggies
ozone manta, frenzy (any edition)
peter lynn twister, arcs
come different landboards even though I absolutely love the old all wood deck that i have.
If I can try just half of all of those things I will be happy. I cant wait. See everyone there on Friday.

No I did not make it down. Too much going on here with the storm and moving. Movers where here yesterday loading my pod up. And we are closing on my
