Why would anyone need a 35m kite(Nasa)? limited range of 2.5-5.5mph!?
... though I wonder what biggest one the npw Goddess has ever made was?
The funniest footage in here is the interview in next to last video. Scratchy(voice)-the helmetless flying kiter- says one stupid thing after another.
He doesn't get it- or this is his 'umpteenth' concussion- and says some disconcerning things to really p.o. the weather guy..
"sorry to make people jealous being here at beach.." is odd also...and passive-arrogant. It's too late for a helmet for him..
I could not view the nas wings vid but now know it has something to do with a 35 meter nasa wing. Wow that is huge.
The largest nasa I have made so far is a 12 meter but I have bought and own a 15 meter and fly it in winds below 5 mph. It allows me to buggy when no
one else can in real low winds.

p. s. I am thinking about making one over 15 meters just for fun in the future.

Actually, Susan, the NASA in the video looks like it might be 15 M at best, comparing to what my 7.6M looks like in the air. They were tether flying
a person off it, looked like he had pretty good control, but you know it only takes a second of wind shift to buckle the nose of those things, and
well, what comes up, must come down. He also posted another tether vid that did not turn out so well.
A 35M? :shocked2: pyro, I hope you are just joking about trying this, if the wind gusted to 7-8mph, I think you would get torn in half, if your arms
don't get ripped out of their sockets!

I just looked at that video again, theres a small segment where he has a "talk balloon" saying something about 20. I don't know if he's talking about
the kite size or the wind, though.

Wow, the lack of common sense is overwhelming. I can see trying to launch a kite for the first time, even if you knew you were in over your head, but
to launch on a rocky beach like the one guy did with no plan of action when the Oh S*@# momment happens.....
Ok I was joking about trying it. There is one in my city. The guy told me he tethers people off of a truck and parks close to the surf. THey then
winch people out over the ocean and man lift over the water. Granted after seeing the manlifting gone wrong it still sounds dangerous.

I didn't think you were serious. I remember seeing the pic of the guys in the desert with the giant wooden buggy being towed by a 32M NASA wing.
There were several guys on the buggy, but not sure how they were controlling the kite. Might have been the NABX site.

I kept wondering to myself when he got to his kite at the sign, "Why don't you deflate the kite before attempting to remove it in the high winds?"
I also noticed that he tied his leash to his board while he was attempting to drift launch, but I could not figure out if this was a second leash.
That was also a very poor decision.
