Well went north today to check out a soccer field/complex i had heard about. When i arrived there was a gentleman there with his son shooting goals,
so i went up and asked what the schedule was and if there were any games today because i wanted to fly a kite. His response was - go for it no games
til 2:00, turns out that he was the care taker for this complex and he was super excited to see my fly then when i stopped we talked for about 30
minutes as he explained what his plans were for the fields and how i was welcome to come any time as long as they were not in use
. Now the bad news predominant wind came over a stand of trees and created the worst
rotor i have ever flown in i could literally launch in one direction and then as the kite hit zenith fly 180 degrees from direction i launched - first
time i ever got dizzy from turning around so much.
NOW for the tree question- any experience with trees after they have lost their leaves in regards to moothing out the wind some?
thanks
scott
