Prices for a C-Quad 8.5-8.6

This is to any kiter out there who knows the answer to my question. This is Cameron, rockfighters son, i have in my possession a 8.5 or 8.6 C-Quad and am looking to sell it at the upcoming Wild Wood Buggy bash. I am however not sure of a price or worth of the kite. I flew it once for about a half hour then put it away. Other then that it is brand new. If anyone knows the answer please contact me. thanks:ticking:

Cquad fly different than foils. More like NPW on speed. Being stiff they respond to brake input in an amazing way.

The 8.6 is an amazing low wind engine.

I think it is hard to put a price on these since so few people have ever flown them or want them. I really get a kick out of flying mine when I do because they are so different. If I am correct you can still get replacement parts from PL ? I have never considered selling my set because I am sure they are more valuable to me than J. Q . public.

Take these out and fly them. You WILL like them !

P.S. Carefull who you loan them to. They don't take to crashing all that well.

But i'm not bitter ! ;-)

Back in the day, that kite (8.5M C-Quad) was listed at $580.00 new. Like BR said, most folks aren't going to know much about them. It is a piece of kite history, though, and if you get it out and fly it, someone might take an interest. Forecast looks like there might be some opportunity to fly this one at WBB, while most others are waiting for more wind.(except big NPW's and Flysurfers) 6-10 mph might have you cranking. Side benefit with these, I have read, they create quite a wash in the wind, so people behind you will be experiencing rotor's and such off your kite.

6.3m C-Quad

I have to agree that they are fun and unique kites.

I just got a used 6.3m C-Quad and flew it this weekend for the first time. It was a serious puller...that is for sure.

However, the nocks on the leading edge are very unique and easy to break when it slams into the ground. I did and I did.

Now, I have replaced all nocks with more common ones...however, I am looking for replacement nocks.

Treat them well!

I have some extra Leading Edge connectors in stock, these are the swivel type that connect the spars to the leading edge. Cost is $1.75 each.
