2006 Slingshot Octane 14m for trade

RTF, except for a missing quick release bungee leash. Kite is in very good condition with new bladders. Color is orange/black. Lines and bar are in pretty good condition, but you can tell they have been used. The bungee leash is not there but should be easy enough to replace. Comes with a backpack (one of the shoulder straps is coming off, but can be sewn back on) and if you want it I can throw in a pump.

(Pics soon)

I found this on craigslist thinking that I could use it for snowkiting in Wyoming. I have since come to the realization that the average wind speed here in the winter is somewhere around 15-20 knots :o. So in the sense of self preservation I am hoping to find someone that wants to trade this for something in the 4 meter range, and maybe a harness (36 waist).

Note: This "octane" is a C-kite, the evolution of the FUEL series kites from Slingshot. If you want C power and performance, this is an excellent kite. Please do not confuse this with the 2010 "Octane" which is a SLE kite and very different.

Best of luck with your sale/trade!

Jeez, did they make the Octane in any other colorset? Every Octane I've ever seen has been that orange/brown!

Looks like very good condition!

Best of luck with your sale!

At the risk of hijacking your thread, what part of Wyoming are you in where you're getting 15-20 knots? My first season snowkiting is coming up and I'm wondering if I should expect similar winds in Denver. If not, wanna trade for some FB's? :)

SE Wyoming, I plan on kiting west of Cheyenne once the snow builds up. From what I have heard Denver is nowhere near as windy as where I am at. I think that some of the passes near there have pretty consistent winds.
