Any one know what the conditions are like in the bighorns. I would like to get up there before they close the road out to bald mountain. The web cam at bear lodge looks pretty good, but I am not sure where else to look.

14 is closed on the east side and by the time the open it 14A will be closed, they close it in Nov. and it will reopen in the spring . As for the east side I hope it opens soon I was going to try to go this next weekend . You can rent a snowmobile to get there from bear lodge .

Wydot claims that the road is still open. I was thinking about going this weekend as well. Let me know if you head up. It would add some incentive to get out.

12" on the Bald Mtn Snotel - thats good to go for early season! Have fun and be conservative - is gonna be a long winter!

I can not find anyone to go up with and so I am not going to drive for 4 hours to ride alone. It looks like we are going to have wind here, but will not be as much fun at Baldy. Maybe I can round someone up for next weekend.

I have family stuff going on Thursday afternoon but am free Friday as well. I am psyched. the water here is cold but there is no snow....

Well it is looking snow at the top most of the week and all weekend, with a 12" base and some new powder, we should have some fun this weekend as long and the wind comes out to play with us.

I have to be back in town Sunday for wedding reception dinner but I have all day Friday and Sat! I just got the invite and really need to be there.
