confusion on posting reply numbers

Hey all.. So I'm still relatively new to the forum and found myself confused about something... the reply count on all the postings on the site. I have noticed that some have positive numbers and others have negative. I was also looking through and noticed that some say 0 replies, yet when I open the post, it has many... and others that say they have many (i.e. -14), there would be none to read. Only the original post.

Anyways, I was hoping that someone could shed some light on this and help me figure out this little mystery. Thanks so much!! :)

Old forum software, known issue with the phBB bulletin board software.

Wait til you run into "3 pages and can't get to the next page"! Error, that's a fun one. (Go to user control panel and set post per page to like 500 to get around that.)

Hey! Thanks for the response. That's very unfortunate that it's a software issue. :( I was looking through alot of the informative posts and would love to see the responses, but there's nothing to show. With this "glitch", alot of great information seems to be lost.

I apologize ahead of time for any questions that I may post that seem redundant, but with the loss of replies in prior posts there is no other alternative. :(

The post #'s are in error, no posts are "lost" in any thread.
