I see a couple web pages on the internet but was hoping since this was a "WIND" related product that someone either had one or could direct me in the right direction.

Looking for info/sale on one of those RC Landyacht....wheels/ice

Yeah baby!!!

Ice

Non-ice terrain

And yes, those look like mountain board wheels in the second video.
How pimp would it be with GI Terraintulas, MB Pro Rockstars or even Manhick Pepper Pots :wow: ?

Are you looking for plans to build from scratch or an AR kit?

hey bec
i have been making rc landsailers for a few years now. you will find plans on the net go to rc landsailing and you should pull up a few good sites both if you want plans or a kit.
i must have 6 rc landsailers. they are fun to play with and i bring a few with me to wildwood buggy blast. i always get a crowd around me and i have no problem handling over the radio and let people play with my toy.

I'd love to do it myself but I wont kid myself either...I have two kids both in travel sports and Oh did I mention I don't have a trust fund so, there is that annoying thing daily with having to go to work too....lol

I remember seeing someone with one at my first WW who had built them. I would love to give it a try and that would be about a perfect time after the holidays to buy something I don't really need...but want. They are cool and I've always wanted a RC sailboat but this would get so much more time where I live. (parking lots and Ice)

Just for curious reason does someone have one they want to part with (give me ball park $$ factor to make the decision a little easier) or is there a good place to purchase a AR (assuming this means all ready). What I really want is a APFJPiU thats the... All paid for just pick it up version

He is located in CA.

Prices seem to range between $175-$425. I am going to assume that doesn't include shipping, a radio controller or servos.

AR(F) I always take to mean Almost Ready (To Fly). Stuff is disassembled to reduce shipping costs and possibility of damage in transit. Basically, if you can assemble a mountainboard, you should be good to go.

On the website above, email and phone number contact information is provided so you could ask any questions before pulling the trigger.

For an additional $25 they even have wheels that look very much like Manhick Pepper Pots in silver or gold. :o

FWIW: An Instructable tutorial on how to build a simple RC Landsailer (Not step by step, just an overview).

http://www.instructables.com/id/RC-Landsailer/

If you go with the latter method to get your feet wet, you might want to check out the local RC club swap meets/newslists for second hand controllers/servos and such.

Sam

hey wolf
that is a good sailer(modellandyacht) i have one of them i have the S2
the guy thats makes that kit is very helpfull after the sale.
his kits come with everything you need but the radio gear.
hey bec
that guy you saw at wildwood had to be me. as i was the only one who had one at wildwood.
i`m sorry to say but none of mine are for sale. alot of time and labor went into mine and i could never get my money back on them.
they are not that hard to make. but your best bet would get the one on modelland
yacht and go from there. thats what i did and after i got it i said to myself these are not that hard to make. the biggest thing to making one is getting the sail size to match the sailer size. to big a sail and the sailer will keep tipping over to small and the sailer won`t move

I guess the only thing worse is not having any wind when you have 50k in toys that require it.....and you can only look at a flag so many times and lie to yourself. How many of us have been standing out in the middle of a field with the kite still on the ground saying... well the flag moved.

This is the guy I ran into the week after NABX at Ivanpah. He had some rather nice toys, one of them was not much smaller than the real thing. Give rides to your friends in a RC Landsailor, Oh think of the possibilities, and what you could do to your not so good friends.

My favorite one is, "did you feel that?".
Or, "it will pick up in a minute or so", as everyone is watching you stand there.

Or standing on top of a hill.

Seems like most of my adult life as been standing around waiting for the wind to do something. Either blow or die down. At least with kites it is more of the blow. Usually not to much to launch. Or in y old age I am wiser and not out waiting in those conditions.

I keep thinking about RC playthings however. But do I need anymore toys?
