Carlos, the buggy looks to have the rear wheels chambered, how does that work with the bigfoots? and how much is it? I have been thinking about that on a couple of my bugs, would defiantly help with the side pull of the bugs.

edit, Oh by the way Congrats. And with a depower to boot.

You guys are missing that RedSkyHorizon is the rider in the video, and owner of the Dominator 4. Popeye built the buggy and is proud of RSH's accomplishment on a PTW buggy.

Thanks! :)

I didn't get any real sense of speed watching the video, I think you'll agree.
What I really need are some wind banners spaced equally apart down the length of the beach and watch them shoot by. That's what I'll do next time.

@shehatesmyhobbies, If you're serious about one day jumping the pond then you're more than welcome to use my home as a base for free. London is less than an hour by train. The beach at Cambersands is an hour 1/2 away and Les Hemmes Beach in France is about the same distance and it's as big as Ivanpah when the tide is out....and it stays out for weeks!!...so I'm told but I've not yet been.

I got a sense of speed when you came almost to a complete stop after the guy/girl passed you on the left...when they were almost out of camera sight you dropped the kite down into the zone and took off...It was how quickly you caught up to the person already moving that gave me a sense of just how fast acceleration was....AWESOME!

@ Rich...If you go, you can pack me in one of your duffle bags and we can split the airfare....LOL

Carlos made me some beefy cambered stub axles. The Beach Racers tend to slip and slide around without the camber, not that grip is important when going for speed but it helps getting back upwind when the kite is trying to pull me out of the bug. I also feel more confident about sliding to a stop as they are less likely to skip or dig-in on uneven ground.

The stub axles I have were specially made for the Dominator so that the tyre would clear the mounting plates. If you don't have those then I'd imagine it should be fairly straight forward to make.

I love the look too. They look mean.

First of all, thank you Bob and RedSky for clearing any confusion up regarding who was and who wasn't in the buggy....sorry about that.

The answer to your question about how much camber, the answer is 8 degrees

Happy New Year to everyone State side
