DBBB 2003
Yesterday my wife forced me to go through some old boxes of stuff in the basement. And one box held a true treasure indeed. 3 years worth of AKA
Kiting mags. True kite porn for us guys!!
As I was looking at all the cool graphics on the covers I noticed on the spring 2003 issue, Dead Bird Buggy Blast. So I opened it up and gave it a
quick read. "Rollin Along" by Jon Ellis.
This was a good time had by all. Makes me want to head out to Texas soon!! There are two B/W photos and appears to be maybe 15 people there. This
could be a cropped pic or just a poor pic. But in each picture I see 8or 9 buggys and some people. No way for my old eyes to see who they are. Any
body else have this article and can name a few people? Or if you were there and have more info on the 2003 event? It would be cool to put mans with
the pictures.

You might ask jellis (aka Jon Ellis) here on the forum, he normally has a pretty good memory. You may be able to get him on a good day and he would
remember.
I'm sure he could tell you who and what but not sure about the mans of those that were there. hehehe

The second year I came to DBBB, I flew in a day early and headed to East Beach thinking I would be the first one there. As I crossed the parking area
at East Beach I saw this guy with a Don"t Tread on Me flag and the most basic home made buggies I had ever seen. It would be the start of a great
friendship with Texan named AJ.
I continued to fly down to DDDB until the airlines stopped me. Just because I had 2 large Libre bags with a Lbre buggy and kites in them along with
suit case, my carry on bag and my laptop.
Keith Anderson, Rick and Sara, Claxton Thompson, Patrick Burke, Michael Galvin, Charles Huckabee, and Caddo, were some of the first ones I remember.
I have a picture but once again I forgot how to post it.

I looked up the article and saw the picture and the people were to small and far away to tell who was who. I know that I was there.
