WBB Update Please Read
As some of you have heard already, there is an update to the Spring WBB event. Some good news, some bad news. I talked to the officials at Wildwood
Crest and they are now going to be doing a major Beach Re Grade from the Fishing Pier down towards the C/G station. Unless they are finished with the
project we will not be able to use that section of the beach. This will knock off about 2 miles of the beach, but there is still about 5 or 6 miles
left to ride!
Good news,Not to worry, I have already Contacted the officials at Wildwood, From the fishing pier to North Wildwood. They are on board and will be
fast tracking the paperwork to get everything all lined up. As we know, this is one of the fastest areas of the beach. They also said they actually
gained 100ft of sand in some areas making the beach a lot deeper than normal(making more room for more buggies!)
Really good news is, I am glad that we are now contacting the communities about the event, can you imagine if we all showed up and the beach was
closed! Most of you know how it was last spring when we arrived and were surprised to see dump trucks on the beach all day!
The event will go on as scheduled, I will be in constant contact with everyone over there. If we need, Maria has already offered to move us to her
other Hotel so that we won't be going out of the way to get to the beach. It is a lot like the Shalimar, and has plenty of BBQ room! I will be taking
a ride over there in the next two weeks to see if that is going to be necessary. Where we set up may be a little different this year, but the fun and
family atmosphere will be the same!
Keep booking your rooms, like I said, in case we need to move to the other Hotel, Maria will take care of everything.
I will keep everyone updated on any info that I get! As always, if you have any questions, please call. I am available till 7pm during the week and
till 9pm on the weekends.
Ride on!

We got an e-mail from our CEO today.....It wasn't a good one.....Tonite at midnight,we (Norfolk,VA area shipyards) all enter (unwillingly) a lottery
to see who will still be employed. I miss you all and I'm sorry I won't get to meet newer additions to my PKF family. I will however, will go tear

Way to go . Never too early to make sure those permits are in place. :smug:
Only 6 miles of beach . Coming from GP that is really going to hurt. Now I can't say your beach was 100 yimes bigger than our park.

To give you and Idea, here is Donnie in a video doing a down and back on the section that we will be using this event exclusively. You will see the
fishing pier on his left at the 2:05 mark and just about the end of the boardwalk at the 7 min mark. There is still more beach to ride after the big
white roller coaster, so I hope you get the idea.
Donnies down and back

North is when the boardwalk is on your left. South is when the boardwalk is on right. Easy enough!

I can guarantee this...It happened to me twice...
Here's another thing....It's officially in the rule book (NAPKA) that if you miss an event (WBB) then at the following event there are no excuses for
not coming ( I won't mention any names Donnie). If you do miss 2nd in row, you will forfeit all custom buggies and their wheels to me...
I hope you can make it man...x2 without you there will suck!
I need some help with my bridle adjustment too.

So how far from Shalimar?
If indeed they're not done re-grading... people would need to load vehicles and drive gear from Shalimar to the new 'start' area(fishing pier), I
believe....( is it a 1 mile.. or more to pier)?
I assume there is enough(free?) parking in that area of pier to stay parked on street all day for all the participants if we are staying at Shalimar?
(Don't know street area near pier)...
Is Maria's OTHER hotel right next to beach/ridable area. It was(is) nice just to roll onto beach from the Shalimar:roll:
Let's hope they get done with that project before the event.

The parking meters dont kick in until May sometime......the area of beach rich is talking about is actually pretty good......and it does seem to be
the fastest area when riding. Im pretty sure there is no beach projects going on in wildwood or north wildwood.

Rich and I were talking about setting up a shuttle with a 4x4 and open trailer to load gear and take you straight to the hard pack. The Royal Canadian
is still an option depending how this goes but we will be sure to keep you informed.
