I don't have a 4m, but I do have a 6.3m crossfire. Although we haven't had many decent wind days since purchasing it, I can say it has lift and coming
down it's very forgiving and floaty. You know when you're going to get lifted, unlike some other kites that tend to just pop you off the ground. The
pull is really decent too, even in lower winds I find enough to get going on my mountainboard with it. You do need to apply more brake with these
kites when turning, etc. to get the best results. Even on a bar, if you tighten up the brake lines a bit, it tends to react a bit smoother. Also, I
have found and have read that other people have noticed that the kite prefers clean winds. When you get into really low wind conditions in areas with
lots of obstructions it tends to bow tie relatively easily.
Construction is pretty good too..the kite itself is nicely done, strong hems and good durable material. The lines and handles are as well. Can't say
too much about the backpack..had thought it was a great durable backpack, but I've already got a slight rip in mine and have no clue where it came
from or how it happened. The backpacks tend to be the first things to go with any manufacturer though.
Hope this helps some. If you buy one, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the purchase as they're really fun kites and definitely a good
competitor to the flexifoil blades.

I've only flown mine in 4mph winds thus far. I haven't had a chance nor the wind to get out in anything much stronger, other then a few weeks ago when
it was 11mph winds and judging from the 4mph flight I wasn't ready to jump into that strong of winds. :D I'm 5'10" and 180lbs...In 4mph winds it
lifted me a good 3 feet off the ground and carryed me 10 feet before setting me down nicely. I can't imagine what it would do in 11mph...but hope to
find out someday after getting a bit more experience with the kite in mid-range winds.
If this is your first kite, I'd either go with the 4m or even smaller depending on your size and wind conditions in your area (not sure what kinds of
winds you get). If you've flown before and own other traction kites then the 4m or larger will keep your interest (again..this depends on your weight
and wind conditions as well). I say this because these are really lifty kites. It's not a surprising lift, but they are lifty and if you've never
flown..not knowing how to control the kite, being pulled and being lifted it tends to make it more difficult and even dangerous to learn to fly.
I bought my Crossfire from a friend of mine that is a HQ Team rider who got it directly from HQ. Not sure which internet shops offer different sizes
in your area. I have, however, seen other sizes on ebay for the U.S., U.K. and Australia and there pricing seems fair. You could always check with
Scoop on this forum and see what he can do for pricing one for you as I beleive he sells the HQ kites along with a few other manufacturers.
Below are a few US sites that I had thought about purchasing from as their pricing seemed pretty fair as well and they had a variety of sizes. Not
sure if they'll ship over seas, etc.
Note I've never done business with these companies, so I have no clue how they are as far as dealing with them. Scoop (from this forum) I have spoken
to and is very knowledgable and helpful, but again I haven't purchased a kite from him either...

Glad to see another Crossfire lover on the forum. Before purchasing mine, I didn't see too many people on here interested or speaking about them. I
noticed on some of the other forums the Crossfires came up quite a bit, read some reviews and got mine.
I don't think at times that HQ gets the credit they deserve with their line of kites. In my book they're just as good as the Ozones and
Flexi's..granted they haven't been around for as long, but HQ seemed to of picked up rather quickly in their development and did things the right way.
Yeah, like any manufactor of sporting equipment, there's things that us as consumers would change (like the crummy backpacks and kitebags, which no
one seems to of gotten right, and even the handles ..sorry I prefer my ozone's over any other). But overall they've got things right on track and
they seem to listen to their consumers wants and needs.
