Pros...cons.... Buggy kite? Aspect?

Well since no one with more experience is responding....

Never had the pleasure of flying a Nitro Evo 2. I do have a U-Turn Butane. Build quality is topnotch, AOA bridal works as well or better than the Blade IV that I have had my mitts on.

They seem to be more popular in Europe than the US from what ive seen. It's a high aspect, high quality race kite. I have never had my hands on one but if its like any of the other race kites I've flown, it's going to like smooth consistent winds. Gusts or lumpy winds are NOT a race kites friend. Race kites typically require your attention while flying so its usually not a park and ride type of foil. Also, from my personal experience, I find race kites to produce a lot more power than other kites their size. Again, this is all just my personal experience.

They are very good kites from the last generation of race kites...

The latest gen has reduced lift/side pull compared to the last.

I may be completely wrong on this but doesn't U-turn off a depowed upgrade for some of thier FB kites?

I owned the u-turn evo's.

A 9.7m evo mk1 with upgraded evo II bridle and two evo II's. 4.9 & 7.7

My experience is limited because I flew them inland a long time ago. They really need clean wind.
Probably the hardest race kite I ever flew. They were very high aspect and hard to control in gusty inland wind. They fly right out of the window too.

When you send the kite to the zenith the first time you will be in for a surprise!
They move through the air at great speed. Faster than any other race kite kite I've flown but reaching zenith is the fastest direction and can have you out of your seat. You can hear them make a swish noise as they fly. Only one other race kite I flew made that noise, the Gin Tonkawa.

The 9.7m on the other-hand was obviously much slower and manageable and would fly in very low wind.
I'd imagine the smaller sizes would fair much better in clean wind. I barely scratched the surface with mine.

The one thing that sticks in my mind is the climb rate of the Evo II's.

I'd imagine that they would be fast on the beach. If you have the patience to learn them.

amazingly built kite, quality is pecfect.

the power it gives is insane, never has a kite whipped my a$$ like this one did..it gained speed like a turbo and just lifted me up and about 20 feet forward before i realized what was going on was lucky to react the right way and landed sorta safely hehehe my son laughed at me big time hehehe

it also does fly right out of the window, and by this not just a little, if your not carefull trying to turn back will only result in the kite balling up....
hell it's so fast i think you could actualy do a 360 around yourself with the right pull before the kite realizes !!! hey what are you doing. never tried it hehehe

i realy loved this kite, plus it looked amazing, the stock handles aren't the most confertable but they do the job..

a special bridle is available to convert this kite to a bar set up.. i have that but never tried it.. i may some day try it with my 5.5 oxygen pro i s till have..

awesome kite in the right hands for sure..
smooth, fast as hell with lots of power.. you just need to figure out when the power hits and make good use of the brakes..
