How important are these little thingys
I have the wide and standard axle for my flexi. saw today that my wide axle doesn't have the little split 'O' rings on the bolt that holds the wheel
on. (The standard axle does have them.)
Wondering how important they are, and if I definitely need to get some.

On a few other brands of buggies, a ring as you have in the picture, is used as a spacer between the wheel and the axle. This helps put the pressure
on the bearing in the correct place when everything is tight. Does the ring fit rather well on the bolt? If it is real loose it is not as I stated.
Appex buggy, Libre hardcore buggies.
Flexboardz. Blokarts.

A few other less flown oddballs,
Line sets from 10" to 328" or 2m to 100m.

on looking a bit more closer, is it cut on one side? If so it is a lock washer and it goes on the the bolt first, or before the nut.
Appex buggy, Libre hardcore buggies.

Definitely looks like a lock washer...
Would consider it fairly important.... every little bit helps.

It is cut on one side, yeah. Like the pic Sam put up. (I mentioned it in my OP, but put a typo 'slip' in stead of 'split'.
Okay, I'll see if I can pic some up. Doubt they are expensive..?

Definately a lock washer. Measure the diameter of the bolt to get the right size.
In the UK, RS components is a good bet to buy some. a bag of 50 - 100 will only cost you £2-3 so its worth getting some to keep your wheels on

like others have said..it's a lock washer "locking device".
what it does is help keep your nut "locked" to the (axle)bolt.
when you tighten the nut the washer compresses(flattens) and then it is a spring loaded pressure against the nut to "help" it from backing off (due to
vibrations or what have you).
