I'm not getting any ride time anymore. I think i've had two sessions since January. I can't afford to travel to any events anymore because plane tickets and gas are wicked expensive.

I've started Trad climbing this year, so it is taking up a lot of my time

Thanks Martin, it's so frustrating flying in the winds out here. It's so awesome to fly on the coast or out on Ivanpahh. It's a totally different story in the midwest. I still love kiting, but it's so long between sessions where I get to boost big. Also, there are no other kiters in the area so I always fly by myself

I love my 14m Eskimo. Real low wind weapon. Had me boarding in 5mph winds yesterday. I've got to imagine the Montana is at least as good given its a much newer design. Mine fits very well above my 10m so if someone likes depower and has a 9-11m, this is probably a great low wind addition.

Get those F-arcs!!! They are amazing in gusty wind!!! Once they are full the will not luff and the ride is smooth. When my venom would be twitchy and have sudden boosts of power the f-arc is smooth and consistent. The jumps are sick also. One thing I will warn you about though is this kite is like a sports car with the gas stuck. You will keep going faster and faster and faster and it will pull harder and harder till you lose your edge and slide. With the pair I can ride from 5-15 and static jump from 10-20. Once I get above 15 the kite has to much pull and it is all slide and no ride. I have never luffed the 1200 when it was full and the 1600 only is such low winds the kite has to be moving or it will fall from the sky. One other down side is there is no bailing with an f-arc. If you send it back for a jump and fall, your still going up. I actually have a video of this happening to me. I stuck the landing, somehow .

So what do you say? Sell this kite to someone on the coast and get a pair of f's. you won't be disappointed.

Arcs - Charger I 8m, 10m, 12m, Venom I 13m - F-Arc 1200, 1600
Single Skin - Born-Kite LongStar2
Fixed Bridles - Pansh Legend 4.5m - Peter Lynn Voltage 3m

That made me chuckle a bit. You should try a Peter Lynn I bet you'd like it!;)

See Fly, this is why I stay close to home. I'm not gonna let myself get spoiled by smooth coastal winds.

Switching from kites to climbing? Uggggg one gear intensive sport to and even MORE gear intensive sport!

Good luck with the sale man.

I'm so addicted to climbing now. I don't want to stop kiting, but you never have to wait to climb at the gym! There's a wicked canyon only two hours from here that we go to once a month or so with a few hundred sport routes.

i'm not getting out of it captain don. I'm just not getting the time to ride like i used to because travel expenses are terrible right now. Since nobody else around here flies kites i'm completely by myself when i fly. i think there's a chance that I will be at jekyll this summer with scott.

Even with my kite club at the school not many people stick with flying kites. i'm always jonesing for a session, but there hasn't been many this winter because of the crap conditions
