Minimum to maximum windrange

I was wondering what the minimum to maximum wind range would be for my best nemesis 14m 2004? I tried searching google for this info but there is almost no info on this kite.

Knots: 11-19
MPH: 13-22
KM/H: 20-35
M/S: 6-10

Caveat: Please take all wind range specifications with a boulder of salt factoring in:
  • Pilot experience
  • Pilot Weight
  • Insurance coverage
  • Tendencies towards questionable activities (natural born thrillseeker quotient).

And for goodness sake, read this.

Sam

Sam, your are so right about the points. It was one of the questions asked at WW and Jibe from some of the public that were looking at the sport. It would be nice to have a one or the other type of gauge, but that isnt going to happen. Only real gauge is a person that has a set of the kites to know when the next size up or down is needed.

YUP, 22mph with a 14m C kite . I know I'm not going there !

Those numbers look like they are water specific. I think you can work a ride out of that kite closer to 10mph ( on land for sure ) and I would be putting it down or hitting the water around 18mph. I am small and only like to ride a well powered rather than over powered. Top wind speed really is a personal thing.

If this kite isn't 5th line you should consider adding one. If this is your 1st kite you may have bought trouble ? Safety and relaunch improved greatly around 2005.

ALWAYS LEAVE ROOM FOR GUSTS !!!!!

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .
