So the last time I was out, which was just the second time standing on my new to me GI Patrol, the left wing of my M6 kept folding in on me, so I
landed it left the dirt out of the flaps, did a cursory check of the bridle relaunched and was kind of pissed when I noticed that it was still folding
up on itself and becoming unstable at times.
I landed it again next to someone else who was setting up and he took a look and couldn't spot anything in the bridle either, so I just dealt with it.
I was only figuring out how to start and stop.
Anyway I thought about checking to see if maybe the lines had stretched, because I couldn't see anything visibly wrong with the kite, but I didn't get
around to unpacking it until tonight, and when I started to unfold the kite in my kitchen, I suddenly spotted the knot in the lines on the trailing
edge, undid it and then told my wife about my luck.
she didn't really understand the joy that comes with knowing your gear is alright
on the night before going on a 5 day trip to the mountains with nice hilltop meadows. Klassenfahrt to the Harz! Last year only 1 out the 5 fifth
graders who tried could fly the Scout without an assist on the bar.
