yeah what I thought, same as my trailer, just never thought you could get light enough ones, ie my trailer takes about 500kg for a buggy I would want more like 200kg

think your idear was good with what looked to be mono rear push bike suspention!!!! thats got to be they way forward fully adjustable

TBH with you suspension on buggies is really a cosmetic thing....looks good but no reall effect, run bigfoots with some air out and you will achieve the same effect, have the suspension with too low poundage springs the the buggy will roll when powered up, too hard and you notice no difference at all......like I said looks only IMHO

I wouldn't call it a cosmetic thing

I own a big buggy with overall suspension and bigfoots and a small 'hardseater' running on barrows. I can't do wheelies with the big one because it is too wide (2m), too long (2.3m) and too heavy (app. 55kg). That's what the smaller one is for. But going 45mph across an uneven beach (washboards, washouts a.s.o.) costs a lot of nerve in the small buggy.

You'll have experienced the 'buggy dance' (don't know the proper term for that), that is, your wheels dance in a field of washouts. Suspension will hand you back real control.

Also you'll have been beating fast, immense pull tearing at your harness. Crossing lumps, bumps or debris will send you sidewinding, when you don't want it. That's what suspension's for.

I agree, it adds a lot of weight to the paracart and makes you want bigger kites. So suspension is costly in more than one way. But the increase in safety and comfort is substantial, especially when running on a bumpy terrain.

I also agree, very soft (4 - 6psi) bigfoots will dampen any rattles on your footpegs and thus leave the dentistry undisturbed, but they can't really deal with washouts, tideways, lumps and small dogs on the beach.

Besides, being of my age (45yrs) gives you a real reason for a rocking chair

Finally, equipping your bug with suspension is an excellent excuse for heading to the shop

The name of it escapes me now, there is a UK guy sponsered with one, it certainly throws the trail and rake argument out of the window with that front end ehh.

my buggy used to be a Windtools Scooter Extreme, that was actually smaller than a P. Lynn folding buggy. Its production has been discontinued around '97.

I extended the length of frame by 250mm, put on a different axle, redesigned the seat frame and gave it a new front end.

To my knowledge mine is the only one that has this monolever steering with suspension... can't remember having made another one
