I was flying my blue 3m Samurai that day.
Pismo is a must do, if you haven't been there before. 4x4 is recommended, but you can do it with 2wd. M&S rated tires down to almost no air, or
stick to the hard pack. My wife barried the rear of the truck up to the axel last time. That was an adventure...
I don't know if I'll make it yet. This Oct. is turning out to be pretty busy for me.

Like goreo say You can get away with 2WD,however it is easy to get stuck in soft sand,so You have to stay next to wather on hard packed.Keep in mind
that once You get to camp at lower tide You will have to wait during high tide to be able to get back. You can park Your car on parking lot and take
hour walk on catch a ride with someone.Low sports car Very not recomended.Everybody's welcome.Camping is $10 night at entrance. They have toilets every
mile or so.

Four hours one way.You might consider staying home. After all 8 hours driving for 2 hours riding(if the wind is right)-that would be sick.

Z, I saw you on the beach today flying your blade. After you left the winds came back with a vengence and the beach cleared. Sorry I didn't get a
chance to say Hi. The other guy you were buggying with (forgot his name I'm real horrible at that) came by to say hi. He mentioned going out tomorrow
early afternoon. Going to try to make it. need more practice.

I saw elton today. Thought I could get a session in today at low tide, unfourtuntatly by the time I got to the beach the winds had REALLY picked up. I
clocked an avreage of 20mph with a max of 28! To much for me and my 3m samurai. Elton was flying on a couple of the passes. He didn't stay long. Going
to try again Tue.
What is the camping situation down there? Is there drinking water? I'm probably going to head down there a little earlier (TUE/WEN) and need to plan
some logistics (How much beer to bring, what size cooler etc...lol). Looking forward to it. Maybe I'll see you tomorrow.

You can camp anywhere south of the marker down the beach - forget what # it is but the ranger shack can tell you that. Its about a mile south of the
southern entrance. Just make sure you park far enough away from the high tide mark, especially if there's waves! I've seen water get all the way up
to the fence. Bring your own water.
