board question

Hi, i got my core 95 board in Feburary and just now i noticed the tip of the board is showing a small 1 inch crack and plywood spiltting in two spot on front and one spot in the rear of the board. It is not a big break but i was wondering if that is normal from riding it so many time in wet and dry weather.

The wooden decks will always delaminate over time. Moisture gets inside the plys and then it expands and contracts causing the board to split more. It will still last you several years. The only types of boards that I have seen that don't delaminate are the carbon fiber decks.

I have a really old mbs board that I first started with and I let a lot of friends use it over the years and it has the same problem yet it is still holding together just fine.

LIke FJ said, don't sweat it. I've still got skateboards from the late 1980's that have more than their share of delamination and cracks around the truck bolts but after all these years are still structurally sound. I've also got two MBS boards, a SOL 16 and a Comp 16. The SOL is still in awesome condition but the Core shows its age. Still, it's as strong as can be and if I still rode I wouldn't hesitate to ride either.
Maybe though, just to be safe, you could post a pic of the damage just so we could all see what we're talking about.

I am having similar issues with my Core 95. It is more the plastic top layer that is delaminating at both tips though ?
