Trek out into pristine wilderness and dump several hundred pounds of trash for a 90 second video spot.

Add in any gas, coolant, and oil that will be seeping into the water table.

Humans really are the scum of the planet.

"Shane's snowmobile was ready to retire, and the crew made sure to clean up the wreckage after the jump."

Uh huh....

absolutely dumb

Ruined a snow mobile but who cares?

Maybe the helicopter will remove the snowmobile(I hope). If not it's ridiculous. I worry the fuel and oil ruptured out. Should be fined if on federal or state land if either happens.

Hey Eric.....just jump off the cliff on skis or something. Leave no permanent trace.

I am inclined to agree about trash and oil.:thumbup:

In a related headline..

"Cross country skier killed by riderless snowmobile tumbling off cliff..":o:o

Actual Video info(click on 'i' in top right border):

"Watch as Erik Roner B.A.S.E. jumps a snowmobile off a cliff to honor his fallen friend Shane McConkey. Shane did much to further the sports of skiing and B.A.S.E. Jumping, and remains one of the most influential figures in the history of the sports. When it came time to retire Shane's snowmobile, Erik decided to send it off in style - 800 vertical feet of style. Rest in Peace."

Shane never dropped a vehicle down a cliff. Not sure he would approved..? He was self sufficient and thoughtful.

Exactly what I was thinking. That definitely makes it a lot less cool, but the video is still amazing.
