Any good ideas on mounting a GoPro the kite itself facing jumper?
I've shot a lot of wide angles from a tripod and head mount. I want to try and get an angle that would shoot downwards at me. Anyone try this?

Commercial Options
Hi
There are also a couple of commercial options, depending on what type of kite you fly.
If you fly foils or inflatables, the Camrig kite line mount is available. The newest version has line mount plugs, which allow you to set the mount
at different heights via line friction (although that version is only for the Hero3s). There is an older version available for Hero and Hero2, but it
does not have the line inserts. This video shows how it mounts and provides good advice on how to use the plugs without impacting your kite's safety
system: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFWxQ6AcgfA
If your flying inflatables, you may also have the option of a strut mount, which will generally give you a higher/wider perspective.

Thank you for both responses.
@Jollydriver- do you own the camrig? I looked at amazon and it gets an average rating, but I may give it a shot. I fly land kites (PL Hornet and
Twister). I may try to build my own just for fun.
Thanks

Good Luck & Post Pics
Hi knick33.
I actually do own the camrig, and I have used a very slightly modified GoPro helmet mount as a strut mount on inflatable kites.
Regarding the camrig, I haven't used it yet....I bought it on my last day of an OBX vacation in part with a $10 coupon to Kittyhawk Kites our rental
agency gave us at check-out. Since then work, moving houses, and poor winds on open days have conspired to equal zero kiting days.
Keep us posted on how the project goes.
