Definitely ! Personally I'm surprised more people don't wear full face helmets.. But I guess that is personal preference.

I always wear a helmet but don't have a full faced one....this video makes me think I should re-evaluate that decision!

Oh, my mistake, it is a full face helmet, the 661 one ! Couldn't tell until I paused it.

Funny how a full face helmet can help make things better, or in my case almost killed me.
Glad he was able to get back in the bug as qwick as he did.

I considered the downsides of the full face helmet but chose one after envisioning my chin scraping on the lakebed surface. I'm guessing his kite looped while he was turning and his hips gripped the siderails just long enough to flip the buggy.

This could open a can of worms, but thats the part that brings us back.
If the fact of an OBE can be eliminated, would we need a helmet?

HaHaHa, I've seen you drive, I'd wear a helmet just to ride with you.

I would absolutely still wear a helmet. There is always an "X" factor that needs to be accounted for. With my luck, someone would be jumping a buggy and land on my bloody head

How about "Pick a kite size appropriate for the conditions and your abilities!" instead? This will protect not only your head, but the rest of your body and the bodies of those around you. The later is far more important to those who make decisions about where we can kite. They really don't give a rat's ass about kiters smashing themselves up; they care about getting sued for allowing us to kite in the first place when we hurt someone else.

How come it doesn't matter what type of buggy you use...your height...how fast you were going or how big your back axle is....the freakin wheel always hits you in the back of the head.....like it's not enough to crash, but that last pop to push your face down in the mud really doesn't help ....

Helmets for sure and knowing your own abilities are the most important.
