World Cup 2014 Smith Creek Nev.
Hello members, I have been in communication with Oliver Cannick, a FISLY member and interested Class 8 WC 2014 participant. He has been involved with
the meetings about the upcoming WC being held at Smith Creek playa in Nevada July of next year. There are still many meetings being held about the
event and the possibility of Class 8 Racing.
What is required is at least 16 racers and a minimum of 10 helpers, the helpers can be NAPKA members or race Pilots themselves. At this time I am
not sure what type of roll NAPKA would play as far as governing the races, or NAPKA will just be helping the process.
If you are interested CLICK HERE so that you can get the dates and locations. Please get back to me and let me know if you are seriously interested. Meetings are still
going on and they want to know if we can cover their requirements for helpers and race pilots. All Pilots do not need to be in North America, some
racers are also coming from over seas as well, not sure on the amount.

Ok, so I got a call from Dennis Bassaro today. Looks like there is still interest from the organizing group of having a kite buggy class at World Cup
in July at Smith Creek. I am now awaiting an email from the guy that is orgainizing that portion. I will keep you informed as I get the info.

The FISLY WC is a land sailing event, they have had several buggy pilots asking if there could be a kite race at the same time for the guys and gals
that do both. It would not necessarily be a WC for Class 8. I am still awaiting details.
