Think it's been raining everywhere in england. 6 months of sun and now constant rain :(. I took the kite out in that 'almost storm', dipped it into the power zone and it nearly tore my arms off :O Never had the kite slip out of my hands before.

Rain showers last weekend allowed me to say one of the silliest phrases in our sport: "I can't go sailing... The lake is wet"
Reports on Friday said Ivanpah was still under-water.

Desperate, I went out mid-day on Sunday to see for myself.
I figured at least one of the four lakebeds would be dry.

Ivanpah was DRY!
The breezes were BLOWIN'

Warm without being hot.
Not another soul out there.

I finally got that afternoon session I've been missing.
4 1/2 hours of sweetness.

I've begun keeping track of surface conditions.
Like the 80 words Eskimos have for snow, buggy'ers need many words to describe the different surface conditions.

I think the ultimate smooth surface should be called "b-b"
For "baby's-butt".
I think we can all agree... That's smooth!

We know about "corn-flakes" and "crunchy" and the "vibra-buggy".
I've even ridden a "slickery" surface.

Anybody have other words?

Safen Up! Buggy On!

"Often wrong... Never in doubt"
