Can I go back to an earlier post I made and edit the post? How is this done?

Yes, if you go back to that thread, in the top right corner of your post, there should be a little icon that is two pages of text and a little pencil, that is the edit post button. It shows up next to the little Person with a + sign icon in the top right of the post.

Huh?... For me if I'm signed in and looking at a post I've made, there are 2 clickable green buttons in the top right of the window, one of which says "edit"... That's what I use... I've never seen what you are talking about, EW

That's because what everyone sees is totally dependent on the Forum theme they have chosen in their profile. The themes are:
    1. Default
    2. Aspect
    3. Corporate
    4. DBBB
    5. Metal
    6. Midnight
    7. NABX
    8. Perspective
    9. Powerkiteforum
    10. Sky
    11. SOBB

Depending on the theme you have chosen, users will see different colors and graphics for the different elements of the forum.

That said, they general of thumb is that within a thread, each post has two hyperlinks/buttons in the upper right hand corner.

For the posts you have authored, they are "Quote" and "Edit."

For posts, authored by other people, they are "Quote" and "Report"

Edit: Modifies and existing post.

Quote: adds a new post with text copied from an existing post.

Report: is used to "report"/bring to the attention of the forum administrator a questionable or offensive post.

If you have problems reading or deciphering the text/icons used for the buttons/hyperlinks, hovering over them with your mouse will display a "Tooltip hint."

ATB,
Sam

"Metal" is just what PKF is supposed to look like to me. Easy on the eyes too. Metal simply has an "Edit" button on the top right.

Too dark for me.

Sky or Aspect work for me.

Need a lighter background when posting in the middle of the light with most of the lights off. The ambient light cast by the lighter screen, also decreases the chances of inadvertently hurting the cat who is sleeping next to the keyboard or just behind the chair.
