Spring or Fall????????????

If someone was only able to make one of the events, which would be the better of the 2? Weather, sand, airfare, room rental, empty or crowded beaches?

I'm working on next year and need to start the scheduling phase of my life. Might be a few others that may want to attend as well.

Hmmmmm great question. I think this fall we got real lucky with some unusual "on shore" winds! Two out of four of the windy days were all but straight on making for some great riding. Everyone always says it was the best WBB event yet till we get to the next one than for some reason it happens to be better.

In the spring there are more "spectators" on the beach than in the fall, but better chance for some on shore winds. In the fall the winds can be stronger but usually it comes in "dirty" from the NW.

This past spring the winds were great as well. Attendance wise, it's only a difference of 10-12 pilots. Less in the spring, more in the fall.

Personally, I don't think you can go wrong either way.

The dates are not "formally" announced yet, but they are going to be the week after Easter. April 22-27th roughly.

Working on picking the date for October before the weekend is out.

Yes sir! That's right I beat you too it. Most of the guys come both times, you just never know what She will serve us! Spring 2012 the Saturday was Unbelievable! This fall was unbelievable! We just pick a good tide to ride and then let Mother Nature handle the rest! I tell ya, she has been real good to us the last couple of years!

The biggest chance we have to take is the "R" word in the Spring but late October can bring Huricanes like last year! Pick your poison!

Both! Because,
I have a great kid to spend time with
I have an understanding wife that let's me
I have great friends that I want to see more than once a year
(and because Garry Point is too far away now)

But it seems that the fall is a little warmer.

Less than 6 months to go!

Go ahead... tell me to "go fly a kite!" Please!

It's been quite a while since I've been able to attend either, but I must say I had loads of fun at both spring and fall events. I'm hoping to be able to attend the spring bash, and am extending an invitation to any and all that might like to spend a few days on the eastern shore of L. Ontario, buggying Southwick Beach in the week following the spring bash. Whichever you decide to attend, Jeff, you will be more than welcome to swing by either before or after the event in Wildwood.
