work out scheme for learning grabs
I will become the best I know I will because I know I want it more than anyone else. and I feel like this is where I should start by training my
muscles to do grabs.
I am going to attach a bar without a chicken loop to a tree branch.
then take strap into a board. then do a crunch and bring knees to chest. straighten legs out and bend your knees and bring the board up behind you.
eventually do pull ups as you do these also
as I build strength doing this I will learn to do one hand pull ups.
Now since all of my bars are currently in use I plan on buying a slingshot bar because they are very cheap. does anyone have any suggestions

I will probably practice hooked in and unhooked because I also want to learn passes eventually. But I do understand, I will start with hooked in, I
need to learn to walk before I can run

5lb ankle weights and then crunches, and hanging crunches from a bar.
Have to have pretty fierce core power to get the board up for a grab.

With our without the weights, I agree with this statement. If your goal is first to get the core strength to do the move then go to home depot and
buy a 4' by 3/4" galvanized pipe. They come in these lengths and are cheap to buy and make great home made pull up bars. I've had one hanging in my
basement for years and use it regularly.
Just make sure its secured well and now you can do hanging crunches, leg ups, leg extensions or whatever. Once you have the core strength, hang the
bar outside and use it to practice unhooked. Total cost of this setup is probably $10-$20. No need for a kitebar unless you can find one on the
cheap.
Alternately, there are zillions of ab exercises you can do (search youtube or google) if you just want to build core strength which makes a huge
difference. I do or have done Insanity, P90X, T25 and SixPack Shortcuts and building the ab and hip flexor muscles reduces a lot of the soreness from
kiting even if you are just doing little jumps like me.
