I should have come Friday to try all those awesome kites out. Dang-nabbit.

Every one of these was out there flying Friday. Some on Saturday. Great time. The sand flew off the 8.5 when i flew it in the grass Sunday, so i suspect the others are one flight away as well from cleaning themselves out.

Hey Mike, what would be your review of that Summit? I know that it has a higher aspect ratio compared to the 5M Octane, but that it's also a depower kite. I'm just wondering whether the Summit is more or less stable in gusty park conditions compared to a lower-aspect FB kite.

I'm not buying any kites just yet; I just want your honest opinion.

Any DePower is going to be alot more stable in gusty conditions. A FB when a gust hits you , you know it hit you. with the DePower, unless you are powering up at that moment, it just moves on by. You might feel it a bit, but not near the same. I found buggying with this kite on long distance runs would be ideal. Eric gave it a go in Galveston, but as you know the winds were the wrong direction for any real runs.

Quality is ozone. Very good. There are lower end DePowers out there from Ozone, but don't be afraid of this one as we all handled it well. For landboarding like you do...DePower is the way you will eventually go.
