Would this be a fair beginner board?

Looking go try out snowkiting and thinking of pulling the trigger on a used board. My question for the more experienced here is this... The board is a K2 "Double Wide" 165 with Burton bindings, freshly waxed @ $100. Would this be a reasonable price/ board for me to learn? 5'11" 250# shoe 12.5-13
Thanks. - Aaron

Weight wise I'd say you're good. Price wise, sure.

The only thing I think you'll have an issue with is toe overlap. I know people have had overlap issues with smaller feet.

But if you aren't riding toe side it's not an issue.

I found a deal on craigs list last fall and hoped the snow would help out. The snow did NOT help out but the board deal was well worth it.
I got a burton board and a used once liquid board with clicker boots and bindings for each board. Both sets of boots were my size and found ny own boots fits the newer model of clicker bindings. Both boards, bindings, and boots cost me $100.00 and the guy through in 2 scott goggles and a 2 board travel bag. He had a Yakima board rack for his old BMW he wanted 20 bucks for with locks. I only had 100 bucks so I left.

Not sure if any one would complain about a good deal of anytype, now that I have a rock board and one for the parking lot, my snow kiting doesnt have to be in the snowy abundance of the winter.;)
Simply put, I wouldnt spend a lot of cash on a sport untill I was sure I was going to stay with it and got good enough to buy a good board. (I picked up a windsurf board, 4 sails and booms, racing masts and wet suit for 75 bucks. And he delivered it. Now I can set up my Flexboards for some parkinglot fun.) Anyone need a used windsurf board with the blade thingys?

Seriously, wax your feet and just go nuts.

Save the money you would have spent on the board for brews.:D
